Lowering cholesterol is bad for you, according in Journal of American Medical association. Revisiting the Framingham study, the research upon which the original cholesterol myth was based, when the participants were examined 30 years later:
“For each 1% mg/dl drop of cholesterol there was an 11 percent increase in coronary and total mortality.”
LOWER CHOLESTEROL = i.e. GREATER RISK OF DEATH
These are the patients that participated in the landmark study that launched the statin era; the lower their cholesterol, the sooner they died.
